“One track going up that face. I wonder why?”
Scary moment caught on video in the College Glacier area of South East Alaska. The rider was able to ride out of the avalanche path and avoid getting swept away but the same could not be said for his sled. Please excuse the language but f-bombs tend to fly in situations like these:
“Please excuse the language as you listen for effective communication and keeping eyes on during this event. Rider and group had Avy rescue gear (beacon, shovel, probe) and radio communication. Snowmachiner was able to ride off the slope to the left and deploy avalanche pack. Snowmachine was carried down slope by the slide.”
